腐败是困扰世界各地社会的一个长期而普遍的问题。正如Carnegie Council 百年纪念主席迈克尔-伊格纳季耶夫（Michael Ignatieff）所写的那样，"没有一个社会，无论是发达国家还是发展中国家，无论是北方还是南方，能够逃脱腐败问题的困扰。每一种政治制度，无论是民主的还是非民主的，都在努力维护其机构的廉正"。应该研究以和平方式根除腐败的成功案例，并分享其中的经验教训。韩国前总统朴槿惠被弹劾就是这样一个例子。
